The cioppino was the main course. (Followed by a creme brulee.) I did make a few changes but as Overall this is a good Cioppino. Being Italian I had to delete the butter for a nice Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Cioppino actually originates from San Fransisco, where Italian fishermen would pool their resources at the end of the day to create a fresh stew with whatever they had leftover.   1. In a lg stock pot melt butter. Add onions and garlic saute until onions are tender.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients in the first category. Bring to a boil.
  3. When boiling hard, add seafood starting at the top of the list. Add ingredients at one minute intervals until u get to the shrimp. When u add the shrimp take off heat.
  4. Add last two ingredients and serve. I served with parmesan garlic bread
