  2. Prepare sugar
  3. Get yeast
  4. Prepare cardamon

Step by Step to make Mahamri:
  1. Mix the dry ingredients - sieve the flour, cardamon, sugar and salt into a bowl. Add the dessicated coconut and whisk well.
  2. Create a well in the middle and add warm water gradually as you mix into a sticky dough.
  3. Roll it out onto a clean surface and knead until it doesn't stick to your fingers; you may add kidogo flour if it's stop sticky or water if it's too dry.
  4. Cover with cling film and put in a warm place to rest for 25-30mins.
  5. Remove and knead once more, cut into preferred shapes and cover to rest for 10mins. Meanwhile, heat the cooking oil.
  6. Deep fry as you turn both sides until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oil and place them on a cooling rack to drip off excess oil.
  8. Enjoy with a cup of tea or cold milk.
