  1. Wash and cut fish into slices. Apply salt and lime juice.
  2. Sieve gram flour.
  3. Prepare garnish -pick mint leaves and green coriander and put them in cold water. Cut onions into rings. Cut lemons into wedges.
  4. Mix together gram flour, ginger -garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, amchoor powder, ajwain, tandoori red colour and garam masala powder. Add beaten egg and water to make a thik lump free batter.
  5. Dip fish in the batter and deep fry in oil, over medium flame till done. Drain well, sprinkle amchoor powder or chat masala over fish.
  6. Arrange in platter, garnish with onion rings, mint leaves, green coriander and lemon wedges.
